The most recent comment,

"My husband and I purchased a modular home from Homes of Merit/Genesis in Lake City, Florida in 2007. February 2008 we will be moved in one year and are still waiting for this company to complete out punch list. During our experience with Homes of Merit, we have been mislead and treated extremely poor. I am attempting to resolve our home problems but, I think we will have no choice but to seek legal counsel. "

is unfortunately typical of what to expect when you are dealing with Champion Genesis modular and manufactured homes.  Given that  sales in the new home and modular home markets have slowed to a crawl and nearly stopped, one can only wonder how much worse the customer service from Champion Genesis modular homes will get.

As the stock price continues to drop, where will Champion Enterprises cut next in order to prop up the bottom line?  Back on October 22, 2007 the stock was $13.04 and today it is currently trading at $8.16.  With roughly a 33% drop in share value, slowing sales, already pathetic non-existent customer service, where will Champion Enterprises cut next?

No doubt, Champion Enterprises might be hoping that unhappy existing customers are moved to take legal action when faced with the lack of customer service.  In doing so, Champion Enterprises can pass the expense of litigation on to their insurance company, which as a cost of doing business, gets passed on to the shareholders and leaves the customers still waiting for the customer service that was promised when they originally purchased a product from Champion.

Perhaps Champion Genesis modular homes will someday realize that the basis for any business success is customer service and not greed.  What am I saying!  Champion will continue to ignore  both the business and political signs that indicate the times are changing and they will do so at their own peril.
