You might consider sending a letter to Champion Enterprises advising them of your situation. The people running Champion now will more than likely continue to do what they have done in the past, which as you know, is absolutely nothing. That said, perhaps the buyers coming out of banruptcy, unlike current management, will step up, do the right thing and handle customer service the way it should be done.
There is no harm in letting them know how your situation is effecting you and your family. Champion Enterprises has been notorious for water leaks and poor customer service. Perhaps the new owners will do things differently. Good luck

We bought our home in 2006 and have had nothing but problems ever since. Now, we are faced with a leak in the guest bath that is due to the faucet not being caulked around. This has apparently been going on for the past 3 years or so, because the damage has spread over to the bedroom, exterior wall, sub floor and created mold and water damage. The homeowners policy will not cover this, and since Champion has now filed Chapter 11, where does that leave us?? Don't have the money to fix this estimated $8,000.00 worth of damage in this economy we are in. My daughter is allergic to black mold, and this has created a health issue for her. We have had to move her out of her bedroom and into the living room. Please help. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

My husand and I purchased our triplewide from Champion in 2000. A few years ago, we discovered our first water leak under the kitchen floor. In the past couple of months, our hall bathroom floor is falling in (can't use this room). We have about 8 leaks that were under the house. Of course, the water pipe company, Rehau, denies that the cracked fittings are from their company. No one wants to take the blame for this. This is NOT a coincidence. They (mobile home dealer/water company) told us to file this on our homeowners' insurance. Adjuster came out and looked just to tell us that this was NOT covered in our policy. My husband has just had major back surgery and will be out of work for 6 weeks with no pay. We cannot afford to fix this on our income. Anyone have any suggestions?
